Some automotive designs just get better with time, and at 90 years old, the 1934 Chevrolet is definitely one that continues turning heads for all the right reasons.

“My wife and I are going to be doing another classic truck project, so this one is going to go to make more room in our shop,” the listing begins. “This is one of the cleanest street rods around that you’ll see, with a very extensive build list.”
It seems like many custom cars from this era have been refinished in “loud”/ bright colors, but I am a big fan of the restrained look carried out here with a sleek gunmetal metallic hue and subtle accenting flames on either side. The body was customized with shaved door handles and suicide doors, and the matte-finished five-spoke US Mags wheels are a nice touch to finish off the look. Oh yeah, and the black cloth convertible top is fully removable for the ultimate in open-air motoring at the local cruise-in.
Providing momentum for this car is a cammed Chevrolet 383cid stroker V8. The already-capable engine has been upgraded with an Edelbrock 650cfm carburetor, a polished aluminum intake manifold, billet accessories, an aluminum radiator, shorty headers, and a dual exhaust system. Torque is transferred rearward through a four-speed 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission. All that equipment translates to an output of 300+ horsepower– which, in a car with mostly fiberglass body panels, means it’s fast.
The interior is a nice blend of neutral tones along with red vinyl upholstery that ties in with the theme of the body. Upgrades include power windows, a custom steering wheel, a center console, and a digital dash. Climate control is provided by a Vintage Air system with air conditioning and heat. There isn’t much left to add or modify to this car, and you can tell the build was mapped out thoroughly.
You would probably be hard-pressed to try and replicate this car for the price that the seller is asking, which is $57,000. We wish the seller and his wife the best of luck on their upcoming classic truck project. Based on how this custom street rod turned out, it is bound to be equally attractive.
