Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this unrestored 1965 Plymouth Satellite two-door hardtop. It is powered by a 426-S V8 backed by a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission. According to Chrysler records, 800 of this model and body style were built with the 426 “Street Wedge” for the U.S. market. Features include AM/FM radio, rear speaker with reverb, bucket seats, and center console. Finished in matte black with gold roof over a black vinyl interior, this Plymouth is being sold with removed original parts, new, uninstalled carpet kit plus even more parts, transmission rebuild documentation, original promotional material, and a clear title in the seller’s name.
Originally finished in Medium Red metallic (code TT1), this Satellite’s body is now finished in matte black with a gold top. Features include Commando V8 emblems, fender-mounted antenna, driver-side mirror with manual remote, and trim for the rocker panels, wheel wells, and rear panel. The seller states that the floors are solid, but some rust is present on the body and trunk floors.
A set of 14-inch steel wheels with spinner wheel covers is wrapped in whitewall radial tires.
The cabin is furnished with black vinyl including the code P4X front bucket front seats. Features include manual steering, console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, AM/FM radio, and rear speaker with reverb.
The instrument panel includes a 120-mph speedometer plus gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and alternator, with a 6,000-rpm tachometer mounted on the console. Aftermarket gauges for the oil pressure and coolant temperature are mounted under the dashboard. The odometer reads 45,207 miles, which the seller reports to be accurate.
Power is provided by a reportedly numbers-matching, 365-horsepower 426 “Street Wedge” V8 backed by a rebuilt TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers and air cleaner, with the latter sporting a Commando 426 decal.
This Plymouth is equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear-drive axle with 3.23 gears and Sure-Grip differential. Original equipment with the 426-S included a sway bar, larger brakes, and heavy-duty suspension. Braking is provided by manual drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear. A fuel cell can be found in the trunk.

Something fishy in engine compartment. I smell motor swap!!
What’s fishy is arriving at that conclusion without checking the fender tag.
I had a 65 satellite in 1970 only had 318 but in red metallic with mag wheels.
