Generation Gap?: Drive the Bid Podcast

Okay, Boomer!

This week’s AutoHunter Drive the Bid Podcast is a bit different since co-star Derek Shiekhi came down with something that has affected his health. In his place is Luke Lamendola, Social Media/On-Camera Host for the Collector Car Network, which includes, The Journal, and AutoHunter. Since Luke is several generations younger than me (though it should be said I am Gen X), we thought it would be a gas to flash cars at each other and get a reaction. Does the sensibility that defines us as members of a generation (if not individuals) affect the lens in which we see automobiles?

In new car news, Dodge has just announced the new-generation Charger, while Rolls-Royce has unveiled the third iteration of its Droptail commission program, with this one called the Arcadia Droptail.

And, of course, the final feature was our AutoHunter picks, which include a 1934 Plymouth Deluxe Business Coupe and a modified 1966 Ford Bronco Roadster.

AutoHunter Cinema has plenty of other videos and podcasts created by the experts behind, the world’s largest online collector car marketplace. AutoHunter brings forth a dedicated live customer support team, quicker auction listings and exclusive benefits for both buyers and sellers.

Lead Writer Diego Rosenberg is a native of Wilmington, Delaware and Princeton, New Jersey, giving him plenty of exposure to the charms of Carlisle and Englishtown. Though his first love is Citroen, he fell for muscle cars after being seduced by 1950s finned flyers—in fact, he’s written two books on American muscle. But please don’t think there is a strong American bias because foreign weirdness is never far from his heart. With a penchant for underground music from the 1960-70s, Diego and his family reside in the Southwest.
