Renowned for its luxury and cutting-edge technology, my expectations were set high when getting into this Lexus. Total MSRP on this hawk: $87,815. Upgrades? Well, we’ve got a few, but most of what you see in the price is standard equipment. There’s only over $4,000 in installed options on this 2023 Lexus LS 500 F Sport we tested.
So, what does that get you?
Well, just look at it to start. Sleek and aggressive design, the spindle grille dominates the front, sharp assertive LED headlights, aerodynamic contours, sculpted lines, and the 20-inch alloy wheels give it a nice athletic stance.
Under the hood, this sedan cradles a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, producing an impressive output of around 416 horsepower. It’s paired with a 10-speed Direct-Shift Automatic Transmission, delivering quite impressive power delivery and performance when tasked. The F Sport-tuned adaptive suspension system made nice adjustments for the various drive modes, creating a comfortable experience on the highways and around city streets.
Inside, you are greeted with the full F Sport luxurious interior featuring unique touches like bolstered sport seats, aluminum pedals, and a perforated leather-trimmed steering wheel, upholding balance between sportiness and indulgence. The trunk has been specifically created to cater to the golfer in the family, offering space in the trunk for a carry bag! Not good enough still? Well, how about not needing to close the truck or even the doors all the way? The Lexus LS 500 F Sport will do it with a button as seen on SUVs. As for the doors… I can’t explain it, but well done Lexus, you raised my eyebrows.
Lexus is renowned for its innovation. This LS 500 F Sport came equipped with plenty of advanced tech, the suite of driver-assistance and safety features made driving aware easy. I really liked seeing a 12.3-in touchscreen, the premium 23-Speaker Mark Levinson Sound system hit hard when testing frequency crossover ranges, well done Mark! And of course, you can expect your Wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto capabilities. Don’t forget your SiriusXM 3-Month Platinum trial that is included as well. You have the wrong engine info. That is the engine on the IS350 F sport. The 500 has a 5.0. Appreciate the rest of the article as we have the 350 and thinking of the upgrade at some point.

The 2023 IS 500 F Sport Performance is the one with the 5.0 V8.
