Personal Firsts: Drive the Bid Podcast

Every driver has a first time

-

What’s going on this week on AutoHunter.com’s Drive the Bid podcast? Derek Shiekhi and I discuss several personal firsts in our automotive lives. That could mean our first car accident, first car we learned to drive with a manual transmission, or what car we were driving when we were first issued a speeding ticket — I’ll tell you it’s one of those three, plus several more firsts that you can watch/hear below.

In addition, Derek and I also discussed several newsworthy items involving co-branding, including a new EV Frauscher/Porsche boat and an EV Hyundai Ioniq 5 Disney100 Platinum Edition. We also gave a health update on our favorite YouTube personality and Barrett-Jackson MC, Steve Magnante (basically, for the time being, no news is good news).

Of course, since Drive the Bid is an AutoHunter podcast, we discussed several auctions that are on our radar, such as a 1994 Camaro Z28 convertible, 1974 Ford Bronco, 1951 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe convertible formerly owned by Steve McQueen, and a Canadian version of the 1967 Chevy II called Acadian, a brand (not model) sold by Pontiac dealerships.

AutoHunter Cinema has plenty of other videos and podcasts created by the experts behind ClassicCars.com, the world’s largest online collector car marketplace. AutoHunter brings forth a dedicated live customer support team, quicker auction listings and exclusive benefits for both buyers and sellers.

Diego Rosenberg
Lead Writer Diego Rosenberg is a native of Wilmington, Delaware and Princeton, New Jersey, giving him plenty of exposure to the charms of Carlisle and Englishtown. Though his first love is Citroen, he fell for muscle cars after being seduced by 1950s finned flyers—in fact, he’s written two books on American muscle. But please don’t think there is a strong American bias because foreign weirdness is never far from his heart. With a penchant for underground music from the 1960-70s, Diego and his family reside in the Southwest.
