The Bimmer coupe that succeeded Bavaria

-

Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 79,992-mile 1983 BMW 633 CSi. It is powered by an M30 3.2-liter inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Features include a power sunroof, 17-inch aluminum wheels, and Kenwood audio system. Finished in a silver-blue metallic over blue leather interior, this “E24” 633 CSi is offered by the selling dealer with a clean CARFAX report and clear title.

This Bimmer has been repainted in the original Sapphire Blue metallic sometime in the past. Features include power-operated sunroof, chrome side-view mirrors, bumper guards, and twin-pipe exhaust.

Later-model 17-inch five-spoke aluminum wheels are wrapped in 235/45 Pirelli tires.

The 2+2 blue leather interior features power windows, power steering, air conditioning, and Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo.

Instrumentation includes a 150-mph speedometer, 7,000-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and instantaneous fuel economy. The six-digit mechanical odometer reads 79,992 miles, which falls in line with the most recent mileage figure of 61,429 miles logged on the CARFAX report in 2012. The report shows ownership starting from 1988 in Indiana, Illinois, Florida, Oregon, and Washington.

The 181-horsepower M30 3.2-liter inline-six uses a Bosch fuel injection system. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission, which makes it one of 1,659 built for the American market.

The auction for this 1983 BMW 633 CSi ends Friday, September 15, 2023, at 1:15 p.m. (PDT)
