AutoHunter Spotlight: 1967 Chevrolet Camaro

First-year Camaro on AutoHunter for the second time

-

Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro.

One neat aspect of the online classic car marketplace is that sometimes, a car will change hands multiple times and become enhanced each time it changes ownership. This Camaro is a perfect example: In 2021, it was sold on AutoHunter to an enthusiast who subsequently added $30,000 in improvements. Those updates included the installation of air conditioning, a QA1 suspension, Holley crawler, a chrome-finished alternator, and more. The car is located in Sparks, Nevada, and the auction concludes next Tuesday.

The already-sporty first-year Camaro represented a strong contender into the muscle car segment by Chevrolet. The car was available in hardtop and convertible varieties, and it shared F-body chassis underpinnings with its badge-engineered sibling, the Pontiac Firebird. This Camaro boasts a number of cosmetic enhancements that set it apart from its stock siblings, most notably a cowl-induction hood, staggered five-spoke aluminum wheels, LED lighting, and brilliant Sunset Orange paint with black accents.

Inside the cockpit, we find black vinyl bucket seats with white accent striping, along with a center console, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, auxiliary gauges, and a modern stereo system with Pioneer and Rockford Fosgate speakers.

The real magic of this sport coupe takes place under the cowl-induction hood. The heart of the beast is a small-block 350cid V8 that was stroked to 383cid. In addition to Edelbrock heads, an RPM airgap intake, and an HEI distributor, within the last two years, the car received a Holley Brawler carburetor, a Powermaster alternator, a new valve cover, a Griffin radiator, and a host of maintenance such as a new water pump. This car is sorted and ready to rock and roll on the street or strip.

Included in the listing are two videos that showcase the vehicle: The first one is a look at the interior, and the second is a start-up sequence with a quick rev and an exterior walkaround. The car looks and sounds phenomenal on camera. This Camaro was already a sweet ride when it sold on AutoHunter two years ago, and it got even hotter since then.

The auction for this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro ends August 22, 2023, at 12:15 p.m. (PDT)
