Drive the Bid Podcast: Should We Go All in on EV?

The pros and cons of living with electric vehicles

-

Aside from gas prices, there’s a lot of talk these days about the automotive industry’s electrified future. More and more mainstream automakers offer hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and all-electric models. Many of them have announced their target dates for partially or completely electrified lineups. In Episode 13 of AutoHunter’s Drive the Bid video podcast, Jeff Sutton, guest host Jared Costello, and I discuss whether or not now is the right time to make the shift from internal-combustion vehicles to EVs. Chime in in the comments section below and let us know your answers to this important question.

As usual, we discuss current automotive news, including the upcoming Aston Martin Valour that commemorates the British brand’s 110th anniversary, the production run of five Automobili Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina models that celebrate their first Formula 1 World Champion, and the production specifications of Koenigsegg’s first four-seater, the Gemera.

We close the show by sharing our favorite AutoHunter vehicles currently up for auction: a restored yellow 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, an 18K-mile 1998 Chevrolet K1500 Silverado Z71, and a 1966 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova equipped with a rebuilt 283cid V8 and a rebuilt four-speed manual transmission.

You can watch the entire episode in the video above, which is brought to you by AutoHunter Cinema, a division of AutoHunter, the 7-day online auction site for unique and collector vehicles created by the experts behind ClassicCars.com, the world’s largest online collector car marketplace.
