An Impala SS by any other name

-

Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this restored 1967 Pontiac Parisienne 2+2 convertible, a Canadian variant of Pontiac that was built on a Chevrolet chassis. As such, this Poncho is powered by a Chevrolet engine, this one being a 327ci V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include bucket seats, center console, power top, power steering and brakes, and upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo. Finished in white with black top over a blue interior, this Canadian is available now from the selling dealer with the Protect-O-Plate, owner’s booklets, receipts, uninstalled parts and a clear title.

The exterior is finished in Cameo Ivory and is complemented by a power black convertible top with a glass rear window and blue vinyl convertible top boot. Other features include 2+2-specific front fender louvers, 2+2 and V8 emblems, distinctive rear trim, fender-mounted antenna, blue longitudinal accent stripes, and left-hand manual remote mirror. The seller states that the convertible top has holes in it, which can be seen in the image gallery on the auction page.

A set of 14-inch American Racing Torq-Thrust wheels with gray centers and brushed trim rings is wrapped in 215/75 Lee all-weather whitewall radials.

The blue vinyl interior features buckets and console (with storage compartment) as part of the 2+2 package. The seats, front and rear, were reupholstered in the mid-1980s but are now showing signs of wear. Features include simulated woodgrain accents, power steering and brakes, and stock AM radio with modern Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo underneath the dash. The selling dealer states that the power top switch has been relocated to the left of the steering wheel.

A 120-mph speedometer, and gauges for the fuel level and battery are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 24,588 miles, though the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

Power is provided by a 327ci V8 and backed by a TH350 three-speed automatic. Underhood features include chrome valve covers, air cleaner, hood hinges, power brake booster and heater box. A full walk-around video can be seen on the auction page.

This Pontiac was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power drums. A full-length dual exhaust system exits at the rear.

Minnesota residents will be responsible for tax, license, and title procurement fees in addition to the price of the car; out-of-state buyers will have to pay a $125 title procurement fee. The selling dealer will include the Protect-O-Plate, owner’s booklets, receipts and uninstalled parts as part of the sale.

Bidding for this 1967 Pontiac Parisienne 2+2 convertible ends on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 4:40 p.m. (MST)
