For more than 100 years Peugeot has produced some distinct cars, but haven’t imported any vehicles to the U.S. since the early 1990s.
So dear readers, What is your favorite Peugeot?
Give us your take in the comments section. Like my high school history teacher always told me, “There are no wrong answers.”
My Take? The 205.
Pre-war 405 with an Eclipse retractable roof from coachbuilder Marcel Portout.
You have to be kidding.
I bought a new 505 Turbo wagon new in late ’80’s which was hands-down the worst new car I have ever owned.
Left my wife and kids stranded on the side of the road several times before I dumped it at a big loss.
Total POS.
Do not buy a French automobile!.
It was how you say no good? NO!
Its actually has an American engine in it from the Talbot (GM). The French 2.2 non-turbo was unbreakable.
The one Columbo drove in his show/movie series!

I think it was this model…
NONE! VIVA LE JUNK!
None of them.
I loved my Silver 505 Turbo. Then we had our forth child. Yea, my 505 Turbo also became a lemon right away. The first week, the inside door handle on the driver’s side, fell off and it was a steady stream of failures after that … but it was the most stylistically perfect of all cars. It handled nicely also. But it was STYLISTICALLY GORGEOUS. I sold it for a Dodge caravan and have 14 had Chrysler Grand Caravans since.

Never, not a single one. It’s a joke car.

My favorite Peugoet is one that slides right out and needs very little toilet paper!
Definitely the 403. I bought one used with
102k miles on the odometer. I think it was 5 years old and in decent shape. I spent 4 years trying to destroy it and it never let me down except in heavy rain when the distributor get wet.
The 403
1982 604 Turbo Diesel. 95 mph all day on the highway in comfort. When I went to the lumber yard to pick up some 2x4s to load into the trunk, a Mexican guy looked at the emblem on the grill and asked if it was a Ferrari. I said “Yes, but I keep the nice one in the garage at home.” Great car.
