Manual transmissions are being phased out and being replaced by paddle-shifted automatics in many performance vehicles.
So dear readers, do you like driving cars with paddle shifters?
Vote and give us your take in the comments section below. Like my high school history teacher always told me, “There are no wrong answers.”
My take? Yes, you get some driving excitement with both hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.

Tried them. They are a joke.
I don’t use the paddle shifters in my car. I figure the modern electronic transmission can do a much better job than I can.
You said it perfectly. I feel the same way.
No. What’s the point?
They’re fine if you’re on a straight road but a pain through the twists and turns. Besides, most of my cars have been sticks. I’m use to driving with one hand on the wheel and the other near the shift. It’s a comfort thing.

I much prefer a true manual transmission for a real driving experience.
Flappers take away from the, dear l say, romanticism of swiftly driving a car down a curvy road like PCH or Mulholland Drive, l mean could you picture Steve McQueen or James Dean with Katherine Ross or Marilyn Monroe keeping their hands on the wheel. 😵💫
I kind of like them at first, but rarely use them now…
