One of 1,530 cars with the Ramjet fuel-injected 283ci V8

Up for auction on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible.

“This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible is an older body-off rotisserie restoration and one of 1,530 cars with the Ramjet fuel-injected 283ci V8 and solid lifters that help the engine produce 283 horsepower,” AutoHunter notes in the listing. “It features dual antennas, spinner-style wheel covers, a set of whitewall tires, rear fender skirts, and a Continental kit.”

This Bel Air came from the factory in Matador Red, trim tag color code 802, and was restored in its original color. The black convertible top can be stored under the red tonneau cover and this Bel Air features a Continental kit.

The original red and silver interior, trim tag code 683, was restored and features front and rear bench seats, lap belts, and a two-spoke steering wheel with a horn ring.  

It rides on 14-inch red wheels with chrome covers wrapped in bias-ply whitewall tires.

Under the hood is a Ramjet fuel-injected 283ci V8 engine paired with a column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission.

This Bel Air is available from a Canadian dealer with a current Ontario vehicle permit and the auction ends on 01/12/2022 at 11:40 a.m. MST.
