Zak Brown is chief executive of McLaren Racing. He funded his own start in motorsports by selling watches that he won as a contestant on Teen Wheel of Fortune. He raced in the US and Europe, paying for his competition with a series of innovative funding methods that led him to his current position.
Recently, he brought three of his own cars and McLaren brought several others to the Velocity Invitational event in northern California, where Brown chatted with Genius Garage founder Casey Putsch about Brown’s careers, on the track and in the board room.
In the YouTube video, Brown shares tips for those seeking success regardless of the endeavor.
PS: Brown notes that McLaren has four official racing efforts — Formula One, IndyCars, Extreme E electric-powered off-roading, and eSports video competitions.
