Live auction action resumes for Mecum with the 2020 Gone Farmin’ Spring Classic scheduled for June 17-20 at the Mississippi Valley Fair Center in Davenport, Iowa. More than 500 vintage tractors and trucks and 2,000 signs and what Mecum calls “farm relics” are on the docket.
“The safety of our customers, staff, suppliers — everyone involved in the auction — remains Gone Farmin’s top priority,” Mecum Auctions said in its announcement. “The auction block will be transformed and set up outdoors to provide a more open-air environment and allow for social distancing.
“In addition to bidding near the auction block, satellite bidding areas staffed with a bidder’s assistant will be available in the Fair Center and Iowa Building to allow for adequate social distancing among bidders in attendance.
“Several additional safety protocols will be implemented. Daily touch-free temperature checks will be required for all attendees and employees prior to entering the auction grounds. Masks will be mandatory for all Mecum employees and highly encouraged for all attendees. Hand sanitizer stations will be conveniently located throughout the fairgrounds.”
Featured tractors on the docket include a 1911 Case 30 HP Steam Traction Engine, believed to be one of only 10 still in existence and still with its original finish. Other featured consignments include a 1921 Avery 25-50, 1963 John Deere 5010 and 1974 Oliver 2255 FWD.

Also consigned are tractors from 13 private collections including 10 restored Massey-Harris tractors from the Steve Weeber Collection, 16 Allis-Chalmers from the Lehr Collection and 10 from the Netherlands-based European Tractor Collection.
The docket also includes 75 vintage trucks.
