If you’re in Las Vegas this week, you can bid on somewhere around 2,000 vintage motorcycles being offered at Mecum and Bonhams auctions. But if you’re anywhere with a Forever 21 store, you can buy clothing inspired by Honda racing apparel from the 1980s and ’90s.
The retailer and American Honda have announced a collaboration that unites the brands in the F21xHonda collection offering men’s and women’s attire with “nostalgic iconography.”
“Honda’s motorcycle racing success in the ’80s and ’90s was legendary, with our riders earning many championships in domestic and international series,” Mike Snyder, senior manager of Honda Powersports Marketing, said in a news release. “While we’re focused on winning with our current teams, it’s fun to see our racing heritage honored by Forever 21 with a completely new audience.”
“This collaboration with Honda is especially relevant now with the popularity of racing and strong ties between fashion and motorsport,” added Linda Chang, vice president of marketing for Forever 21. “We hope that both fans of Honda and our customers will celebrate with us through this collection.”
The launch of the new clothing line includes an Instagram photo contest that will award a Honda CRF250L to the winner.
