Bonhams is touting the fact that it will offer what it terms “four generations” of Lamborghini vehicles at its upcoming Grandes Marques du Monde au Grand Palais auction during Retromobile.
Wearing the fighting bull logo are a 1966 400 GT 2+2 coupe, a 1968 Miura P400 S coupe, a 1975 Countach LP400 “Periscopo” coupe, and a 1996 Diablo VT.
Bonhams reports that the 400 GT is a numbers-matching vehicle with a pre-sale estimated value of €520,000 to €580,000 ($638,000 to $711,600).
Following the 400 in the Lamborghini chronology was the Miura, and the one offers in Paris has had only four owners since new and has been driven only 43,00 kilometers by them. The pre-sale estimated value is €1.2 million to €1.4 million ($1.47 million to $1.7 million).
“The Miura was always going to be a touch act to follow, but the outlandish and almost space-age 1975 Lamborghini Countach LP400 Coupe ‘Periscopo’ certainly holds its own,” Bonhams noted in its news release. The car is one of only 157 produced and has a pre-sale estimate of €600,000 to €680,000 ($736,000 to $834,000).
And then there’s the Diablo, which Bonhams notes was a car that could outperform the Ferrari F40. The Diablo offered at Paris has a 25,000-kilometer example valued at €215,000 to €255,000 ($263,000 to $313,000).
The auction is scheduled for February 8.
