Worldwide Auctions has ventured far and wide this year, with new sales in Scottsdale, Arizona, and in Pacific Grove on California’s Monterey Peninsula, and with a new location for its annual event in Texas.
But this weekend, for the annual Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival, the auction company is “back home again, in Indiana” for its 10th annual sale in its northeast Indiana hometown.
Not only are the cars on the docket an eclectic mix of marques and eras, but the venue for the sale is among the most impressive and fitting used for any collector car auction anywhere. Worldwide’s Auburn auction is staged within the L29 Cord (assembly) building, a national historic landmark, that is home the rest of the year to the National Automotive & Truck Museum, and is a part of the ACD Automobile Museum campus.
