AutoHunter Spotlight: Coyote-Powered 1966 Ford Bronco

A Bronco built better

-

Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1966 Ford Bronco. It was reportedly restored and customized by Findlay Customs of Henderson, Nevada. It is powered by a fuel-injected Coyote 5.0-liter V8 backed by a four-speed automatic transmission. Features include a full-time two-wheel-drive conversion, Hydroboost power disc brakes, custom roll cage, 35-inch all-terrain tires, modern stereo system, power steering and windows, and more. Finished in white over a black leather interior, this first-year Bronco comes from the selling dealer with a clear Nevada title.

During the restoration approximately 10 years ago, the exterior was refinished in Satin Pearl White. Features include black grille, custom black tube bumpers, color-matched wheel flares, folding windshield, dual mirrors, bimini top and custom tubular side steps.

A set of black 20-inch BMF aluminum wheels with silver highlights is wrapped in 35-inch 305/55 Toyo Open Country A/T radial tires.

The interior is upholstered in black leather and includes custom door panels. Cabin features include tilt steering column, custom center console with storage compartment, and JL Audio system with iPad integration. Additional features include air conditioning, black roll bar, custom aluminum dashboard with carbon fiber inlays, and three-spoke steering wheel with black leather grip.

A set of AutoMeter Nexus gauges includes a 160-mph speedometer, 10,000-rpm tachometer and readouts for the fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature and oil pressure. The digital odometer reads 20,451 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

Power is provided by a fuel-injected Coyote 5.0-liter V8 with aFe Power intake. A four-speed automatic transmission works in harmony with a full-time two-wheel-drive conversion. According to the selling dealer, an oil change and other minor service items were completed within the last four months.

This Bronco is equipped with solid front and rear axles. Custom chassis features include a two-link front axle mount, four-link rear, Fox coil-over front shocks with external bypasses and rear shocks. Braking is provided by Hydroboost power Brembo discs.

The auction for this 1966 Ford Bronco ends on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 2:40 p.m. (PDT)
