KISS-FM radio host Johnjay Van Es put his 1975 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale convertible up for sale at the 2023 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction and crossed paths with the car’s original owner. The string of coincidences continues as the Delta 88 Royale convertible was previously sold by Johnjay’s father in-law’s Biddulph Oldsmobile dealership in Glendale, Arizona.
Van Es’ father owned a similar Oldsmobile during Johnjay’s childhood but was forced to sell it to pay the rent. Van Es promised himself he would buy a Delta 88 Royale when he was able to and fulfilled his dream 20-years ago with the purchase of this maroon over white 1975 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale convertible and had it restored.
Van Es is one half of the “Johnjay and Rich Morning Show” on KISS-FM in Phoenix, Arizona. The award-winning radio host is committed to giving back to The Valley of the Sun with the Johnjay and Rich #LoveUp Foundation, a non-profit organization that strives to improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable children in our communities, with an emphasis for children living in the foster care system. Johnjay and Rich also raise funds with their #LovePup foundation that hosts adoption and fundraising events to help dogs find their forever homes. The foundation has found homes for more than 500 dogs through its charitable efforts.
