  1. My opinion doesn’t matter, EVs are inevitable. Done well, they’ll be just as engaging and exciting as IC engined cars. I’ll miss the sounds that high compression, cammed up V8s make. I’ll miss the whine of a Muncie Rockcrusher and a GMC Rootes blower- and that of a gear driven cam small block. I’ll miss the agricultural durability of Tremec manuals and the sense of accomplishment in using one to beat a modern automatic.
I’ll get over it, because it’s about acceleration and top end. Many modern EVs have close to or better range than my GTO, with a lot less moving parts. Not sold on the “styling”, but it’s early days. Acceptance is a good thing, removes stress.

  2. A typical electric car battery has: 25 pounds of lithium 60 pounds of nickel 44 pounds of manganese 30 pounds cobalt 200 pounds of copper 400 pounds of aluminum, steel, and plastic The first 4 ingredients are from limited sources and will continue to rise in cost. Mar 14, 2022

  3. My opinion does matter and is backed by current facts, and math. EVs are not inevitable, far too many things that are fantasyland dreaming to make them actually work mainstream. Missing multiple things enjoyed by those who like and find ICs more stimulating and sustainable than an EV. Vehicles have MANY things in the formula of enjoyment that goes beyond just one sensory input. The only stressful thing that happens in vehicle buying is being lied to, and your being lied to about EVs. That should stress you out… Do your own home work on this subject there is more out there than the agenda being pushed.
