The 1991 Acura NSX is the car that inspired engineer Gordon Murray when designing the McLaren F1. Additionally, Formula 1 world champion Ayrton Senna served as a consultant with the development of the NSX chassis and suspension.
Power comes from a mid-mounted aluminum 3.0-liter V6 mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The NSX was also the first mass produced car to feature an all-aluminum unibody and was available in coupe and targa form.
