Sir Elton John’s 1992 Bentley Continental R is for sale by Car & Classic auctions of the United Kingdom. The Continental R was purchased new in 1992 by Elton John’s management company, William A Bong Limited, and was sold in 1996. The previous owner retained the Bentley until this sale.
Documentation includes paperwork from John’s management company, and a letter from the previous owner stating that it was purchased from John’s management company.
“This Continental R encapsulates the two essential elements in Sir Elton’s life,” says Car & Classic Head of Editorial Chris Pollitt. “The music legend is well known for his love of interesting cars and it is befitting of such a vehicle and original owner that music would not come through any ordinary audio system: the trio of amplifiers behind a panel in the boot, driving the 14-speaker MB Quart install, won’t let it be All Quiet On The Western Front.”
Finished in dark blue over a gray leather interior with wood trim throughout the luxurious interior. Rocket Man’s Bentley was appropriately customized with a Bespoke 14-speaker MB Quart audio system that features multiple amps. This right-hand drive Bentley has 95,921 miles and MOT until December.
Under the hood is a 6.75-liter V8 engine and the floor-shifted automatic transmission was replaced under warranty in 2002. The sale includes the factory service book, original license plate (K93 UPE) and extensive receipts for service and maintenance.
The auction for this 1992 Bentley Continental R once owned by Elton John ends on Tuesday, September 13th at 7:10 am (ET).
