Diego Rosenberg
Lead Writer Diego Rosenberg is a native of Wilmington, Delaware and Princeton, New Jersey, giving him plenty of exposure to the charms of Carlisle and Englishtown. Though his first love is Citroen, he fell for muscle cars after being seduced by 1950s finned flyers—in fact, he’s written two books on American muscle. But please don’t think there is a strong American bias because foreign weirdness is never far from his heart. With a penchant for underground music from the 1960-70s, Diego and his family reside in the Southwest.

  1. Hurst Dual-Gate shifter on the ’67 GTO I owned for 20 years. Put it in “Drive” for ease driving down the highway, but flip the gate and shift without needing a bothersome clutch!

The old man I bought it from told me it was for when you were towing a boat or hauling a load. My cousin who was a local drag racing legend taught me what it was REALLY for. Ha!

  2. Our neighbor had a 41 Buick which he traded on a 50 bucktooth special which I thought was the most beautiful grill ever. I owned 7 Buicks over the years and loved them all.
