Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this restored 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1.
This Mach 1’s exterior was refinished in two-tone dark green and silver that’s complemented by silver hood, side and rear end stripes. It features a body-color front bumper, a black honeycomb grille, dual hood vents, tri-bar taillights, a chrome rear bumper, and dual exhaust outlets.
It rides on new 15-inch Magnum 500-style wheels with new BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The suspension and dual exhaust system were replaced during the restoration.
“During the restoration, the interior was redone and furnished with black and silver vinyl front buckets, black vinyl rear seats, black door panels, a black dashboard, and black carpeting,” the listing states. “Simulated woodgrain trim is located on the door panels and center stack. Features include a remote driver-side mirror, manual crank windows, a rebuilt clock, a push-button radio, and a floor-mounted automatic shifter. The trunk contains a patterned vinyl mat and a matching spare tire cover.”
This Mach 1 is powered by a rebuilt 351ci V8 engine with a two-barrel carburetor. The engine is paired with a floor-shifted automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.
The sale includes a clear Montana title in the seller’s name, and owner’s manuals. The seller reports the car has only been driven 50 miles since the restoration was finished.
