This is my week to sift thru the many cars available on the AutoHunter and find a few that I would personally like to have in my garage. It seems as if each week the cars on AutoHunter get better and better, and yet still offer a bit of something for everyone regardless of your interests or budget.
This week I tried again to pick a variety of cars which can be used for a variety of purposes. I hope that you like the cars on the list and comment if you do or even if you don’t.
1994 Jaguar XJS
This XJS convertible has the elements of a classic Jag that’s been put together with the very best components used in any Jaguar convertible. Powered by the AJ6 DOHC inline-6 engine with modern fuel injection and an engine management systems, this is the most reliable Jaguar XJS you can buy.
This specific car has covered a total of 90,000 miles from new and is finished in British Racing Green with a tan top over a tan Connolly leather interior. It includes 26-years of service records, tool kit, service and owner’s manuals, a driver’s handbook, and guides for various vehicle systems. It has a clean CARFAX report, and if you have wanted one of these cars it is one to seriously consider.
1973 Chevrolet Corvette
The 1973 Corvette is the last incarnation of the chrome bumper era for America’s Sports Car. It was Corvette designer Larry Shinoda’s favorite variation of the C3 that he designed. This car is powered by an L82 engine backed by a 4-speed transmission.
This red Corvette with a tan interior is a driver level car but is optioned with all the things I would want in a C3. If you are looking for a proper 1970s sportscar for a fair price and inexpensive operating costs, this might be just the ticket.
1967 Chevrolet Camaro
The Camaro is my favorite pony car. My best friend in high school had a 1968 Camaro that we cruised around in listening to Ozzy and Judas Priest at high volume. 1967 is the first year for the Camaro and it has a number of elements unique to the model year, making them in many ways the coolest of them all.
This specific car is powered by a 327 V8 with an upgraded Tremec 5-speed manual gearbox. Finished in Tahoe Turquoise paint over a black vinyl interior and amenities include an upgraded Vintage Air A/C system. This Camaro is a pony car you can use every day and I would personally love to own it.
1993 BMW 740il
And now for something completely different. This E38 era BMW 740 is the perfect full-size German luxury car. Powered by a 4.0-liter BMW V8 this is the luxury car that is also a sports sedan.
Even with an automatic transmission, this is a car that is capable of 0-60 mph times in a very respectable 7.2-seconds and has as much leather and wood that you would want in a European luxury car. These E38 cars are a bit of a bargain right now and it is hard to find more for less in a European luxury sedan, especially with 84k miles on the clock. The sale includes extensive service records and should be a nice car to drive and enjoy for years to come.
