An unsanctioned, and possibly illegal, road race from New York to Los Angeles with one rule: there are no rules. Conceived by Car and Driver magazine writer Brock Yates, the first Cannonball run was held in 1971 and it eventually spawned a couple of movies with Burt Reynolds that I hold dear.

My Take? Yes. It’s on my bucket list and this choice might be based on the movie that I’ve seen too many times.
