Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auctions announced a new partnership for this year’s 106th Indianapolis 500 with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing team’s No. 23 DRR Palermo’s/Barrett-Jackson Chevrolet race car driven by young racer Santino Ferrucci.

“It is a privilege to be a part of The Greatest Spectacle in Racing with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, and to showcase Barrett-Jackson as well as our Driven Hearts campaign for the American Heart Association to the hundreds of thousands of fans in attendance and the millions watching around the world,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “Having a long history of auctioning race cars and hosting champion drivers and team owners at our events, this is an exciting moment for us, and we look forward to watching Santino showcase his skills once again at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.”

Ferrucci, the 23-year-old racing driver from Dallas, TX, is making his fourth Indy 500 start on May 29 after scoring “Rookie of the Year” honors in 2019 with a seventh-place finish. Santino placed fourth at IMS in 2020 and sixth last year in the 500-mile classic.

The Indy 500 racing legacy of the Dreyer & Reinbold families goes back to 1927 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with car builder Floyd “Pop” Dreyer, who served as a crewman and mechanic on the famed Duesenberg team. Dreyer built cars for the entire Indy 500 front row in 1931. Dennis Reinbold, DRR team owner and Dreyer’s grandson, made his initial Indy 500 entry in 1999 and Reinbold’s organization has qualified every car he has entered as car owner in the Indy 500 (45 cars) and has recorded five top-10 finishes. DRR has entered two cars in the 2022 Indy 500 with Ferrucci in the No. 23 and Sage Karam in the No. 24 AES Indiana Chevrolet.

“It is a pleasure to welcome The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, Barrett-Jackson, to our team’s Indy 500 effort as a partner this year,” said Reinbold. “Led by Craig Jackson and Steve Davis, the Barrett-Jackson organization has been a leader in collector car auctions for decades and we are excited to carry their colors on Santino’s No. 23 machine on May 29. Our team’s goal is to put Barrett-Jackson in victory lane at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway.”

Qualifying for the race will take place Saturday and Sunday, May 21-22. The green flag for the 106th running of the Indy 500 is set to drop at 12:45 p.m. EDT on Sunday, May 29.
