It’s nearly impossible to judge racecar drivers that compete in different disciplines. Do you hold F1 drivers in higher regard than their NASCAR counterparts? Is a driver more talented if they drive in multiple disciplines and series? Is career longevity a big factor to grading greatness?

So dear readers, who is the greatest racecar driver of all time?

Give us your take in the comments section below. Like my high school history teacher always told me, “There are no wrong answers.”

My Take? Ayrton Senna

  1. David Pearson. Won 105 NASCAR races while driving for several different teams. Made the #21 Purolator Mercury famous. He could drive a road race track as good or better than anyone. When racing on dirt, he was untouchable. Last but not least, he was very easy on the equipment. He was called the Silver Fox because of his greying hair and the fact they he didn’t need to lead until the end of the race.

  2. Only driver to win the Indianapolis 500 (four times), the Daytona 500, the 24 Hours of Daytona, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 12 Hours of Sebring. International Motorsports Hall of Fame Inductee (2000).
