The Pick of the Day on ClassicCars.com is a family owned 1968 Ford Bronco (click on the link to view the advertisement) that has hunting history and has been driven fewer than 68,000 miles since new.
The vintage sport utility vehicle is being offered by its private seller in Gulfport, Mississippi, for $57,000.
“I inherited it it from my father who purchased it custom from Ford in 1967 and he was the one owner before me,” the seller reports in the advertisement.
“The Bronco has always been garage kept and the mileage is so low because my father only ever used it for hunting.
“I have owned it for five years and sadly just do not have the time or space for it anymore. It runs perfectly and I have all the records of maintenance I have purchased since inheriting the Bronco.”
Except for the replacement of a clutch that died after 50 years, this Bronco is reported to be all original. The seller adds that trhe father added a custom steel brush guard and wrench to the front of the Bronco to enhance its capability for hunting in remote areas.
The seller adds that the only damage to the vehicle is a crack in the back glass of the removable top when the seller removed the top to go for a ride without it.
The standard engine on a 1968 Ford Bronco was a 105-horsepower 170cid inline 6 linked to a 3-speed manual transmission. However, this example has V8 badging which indicates the optional 200-horsepower 289cid powerplant.

My father bought this same exact Bronco , but with the 6.
First one in the Binghamton ,NY area. Took it right off the show room floor.
We had a blast with it. Many trips to the ADK mountains.
Old story, wish we kept it.
