Up for auction on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a 1955 Jaguar XK140

“This XK140 was built in the OTS (open two-seater) configuration and was reportedly originally delivered to a Jaguar distributor in New York,” AutoHunter notes in the listing. “The car was subjected to a frame-off restoration in 2008, repainted maroon, and has been garage-kept since then.”

The exterior is finished in maroon with a black canvas retractable top. It features a two-piece windshield, front and rear bumper overriders, and rear fender skirts.

This Jaguar has reupholstered black leather seats with matching door panels and carpeting.

Under the bonnet is a numbers-matching 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six engine with a stainless-steel exhaust system. The engine is paired with a numbers-matching 4-speed manual.

It rides on body-colored 16-inch wheels with polished hubcaps and black-sidewall tires. He suspension features telescopic shock absorbers and a rack and pinion set up.

The sale of this Jaguar includes a clear Illinois title in the dealer’s name, a replacement black retractable top with removable canvas and plastic side curtains.
