Up for auction on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a restored 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS that’s reported by the seller to be powered by the original 283cid V8 engine.
The seller notes this Malibu was professionally repainted in Pagan Gold in 2014 that cost $9,200. You’ll find “SS” badging on the rear quarter panels and “327” badges with crossed flags mounted on the fenders.
Trimmed in black vinyl, the interior features an aluminum-center console between the front seats, Malibu SS badging on the passenger side and the original radio that works but will need to be hooked up.
During the restoration, replacement suspension components were adding, including new bushings and power front disc brakes.
The original 283cid V8 engine is linked to an aftermarket 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission and was factory rated at 220 horsepower. To hear the engine run, see the video below:
The five-digit odometer shows approximately 120,000 miles, although true chassis mileage is unknown.
This Malibu’s auction ends October 25 at 11:20 a.m. PDT.
