Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a 1970 Buick Gran Sport Stage 1 that received an inside-and-out restoration in its original color combination.
“The Gran Sport name was initially launched as an option package for the Buick Skylark but later became a separate series using the two-door Skylark body, leveraging the General motors A-platform,” the auction house says in the car’s listing.
During the Gran Sport’s restoration, the car was repainted in its original Diplomatte Blue Metallic. The body also features quad headlamps, a ram-air hood, bright bumpers and trim and a dual-outlet exhaust system.

The all-blue interior houses vinyl fold-forward bucket seats, a woodgrain overlay on the dash, push-button radio and a heater.
Power comes from a replacement 455cid V8 sourced from a 1973 Stage 1 car and features a 1974-model Stage 1 distributer. The engine is connected to a numbers-matching 4-speed manual transmission.
The odometer reads just under 6,000 miles since the restoration was complete. True chassis mileage is unknown.
