Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a fully restored 1957 Ford Thunderbird equipped with an “E-Code” 312cid dual-carbureted V8 connected to an automatic transmission.
During its restoration, the T-Bird was repainted from the factory Colonial White to Inca Gold, which according to AutoHunter was an optional color for 1957 Thunderbirds in the original line-up.
Ford gave the 1957 Thunderbirds a reshaped front bumper and larger grille, tail fins and tail lamps.
This Thunderbird convertible features a removable fiberglass hardtop with porthole windows on both sides, as well as having stainless steel window moldings, and rear fender skirts.
The interior houses a reupholstered black-and-white vinyl 4-way power bench seat, updated safety belts, automatic courtesy lighting and a half-circle steering wheel horn ring. Featured in the chrome embellished dash is an original Town & Country radio and electric clock.
Under the hood, the “E-Code” V8 factory was rated at 270 horsepower when new and is equipped with two four-barrel Holley carburetors and a factory engine-dress kit.
This Thunderbird’s auction ends August 3 at 11:20 a.m. PDT.
