Carlisle Auctions opened its 2021 sales season February 19-20 with its Lakeland Winter Collector Car Auction in Florida and posted a record of more than $4 million in sales with a 60-plus percent sell-through for the more than 400 vehicles offered, the company reported.
“For Carlisle Auctions, being able to tout the best-ever results from a February Lakeland event is always a big deal,” the company said, “but to be able to do so in the midst of everything that’s been going on speaks volumes to the passion for the hobby, the quality of the consignments and the want of the consumer for in-person entertainment.”
Topping the sale was a 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 3ZR that sold for $136,900. Second was another Corvette, a 1967 convertible, at $97,370, and yet another Corvette, a 1957 convertible, was third at $93,625.
Next came a 1972 DeTomaso Pantera at $87,000 and a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS at $86,670.
Carlisle Auctions next sale is scheduled for April 22-23 in Pennsylvania.
