What celebrity would you choose to deliver your next vehicle?

British survey identifies Jason Statham as customers’ choice

Suppose you could select anyone to deliver your newly purchased vehicle to your home. Whom would you select?

In the United Kingdom, people responding to the “Your Car, Your Way” campaign by independent car retailer Motorpoint, selected Jason Statham, star of The Transporter, Mechanic and Expendables to hand over the keys.

The survey was conducted as Motorpoint launched its home-delivery service of low-mileage used vehicles back as the coronavirus pandemic emerged. Since then, Motorpoint says its drivers had traveled 83,000 miles in England, Scotland and Wales to delivery cars to their new owners.

“It came as no surprise to see Jason Statham voted the celebrity most people would like to see delivering their new car to their door,” Motorpoint chief executive Mark Carpenter was quoted in the company’s announcement.

“He made his name after all in the ‘ransporter is this supposed to be Transporter? films and, as anyone who watched the movies will testify, his character ‘Frank Martin’ never fails to deliver the goods.”

Statham topped the people’s choice list ahead of, in order, Ant n Dec, Idris Elba, Robbie Williams, David Beckham, Jurgen Klopp, Daniel Craig, Tom Hardy, Peter Kay and Lewis Hamilton.

And now, a question for those on the west side of “the pond:” What celebrity would you choose to deliver your next vehicle, be it brand new, slightly used, or of collectible vintage? Use the Comments box below to respond.
