Video of the Day: Onboard in the Shadow DN4 with Jim Pace

Clean laps and commentary from Pace himself

-

At the WeatherTech International Challenge at Road America, Jim Pace had a scary blow over of which he walked away. This is not that video.

There were a number of comments questioning the veteran driver’s credentials to drive the car. While words are legit, actions are far better. The former 24 Hours of Daytona Champion is also a very well known coach and instructor. In this video, we take a ride with Pace and he talks us around the four-mile undulating circuit like we were the one driving the car and he was the coach.

Of course, it’s even more fun to have the thoughts of a focused, experienced driver verbalized for us to hear and see. A Pace explained in his comments about the crash, he said, “The conditions (speed, headwind, drafting, acceleration etc…) were the perfect storm here. The front end lifted midway up the hill and then she blew over backwards. A lot of dusts and sparks until it stopped. Crew members and rescue workers on the scene immediately. A wild ride but I’m 100% ok. I LOVE Road America!!!”

We have certainly seen some great videos of Pace at Road America over the years, and this one is no different. Jim Pace is a more than competent driver. Watch and see for yourself…
